The American Lawyer Features Kelley Drye’s Merger with Jackson Gilmour Dobbs P.C.

The American Lawyer reported on Kelley Drye’s merger with well-respected Texas boutique Jackson Gilmour & Dobbs in the article ​“Kelley Drye Enters Texas With Acquisition of 14-Lawyer Boutique.” Known for being an environmental litigation powerhouse, Jackson Gilmour served as special counsel to the New Jersey attorney general and helped secure more than $355 million to cover cleanup costs and damages caused by the dumping of hazardous substances into the Passaic River. Partner and chair James S. Carr stated, ​“The attorneys at Jackson Gilmour & Dobbs are highly respected and they bring a substantial experience in environmental litigation and sophisticated regulatory and commercial litigation matters. But equally as important, we believe Kelley Drye and Jackson Gilmour & Dobbs have very similar cultures and that will lead to the success of the combined firm.” Kelley Drye has expanded its number of offices from seven to eight through the addition of Jackson Gilmour’s office in Houston.

Co-founders William S. Jackson and John D.S. Gilmour will remain at the combined firm’s Houston office, along with partner Kenneth O. Corley.
