Kelley Drye Names Laura Riposo VanDruff Managing Partner for Washington, D.C. Office
Kelley Drye & Warren LLP has announced the appointment of Laura Riposo VanDruff as office managing partner for its Washington, D.C. location. Laura will oversee day-to-day office management, implement operating and strategic plans, and preserve and advance the firm’s reputation as a top workplace in the D.C. region.
Laura previously served as chair of the firm’s Advertising and Marketing practice, is a former Assistant Director for the FTC’s Division of Privacy & Identity Protection, and worked as senior legal counsel at AT&T. Her legal practice focuses on counseling and defending companies on consumer privacy, data security, and consumer protection matters. Laura’s government and in-house background and her immersive understanding of consumer protection and privacy issues help her quickly identify and address areas of potential concern and facilitate efficient and favorable resolutions of FTC and State AG investigations and enforcement actions.
Laura succeeds Alan Luberda, who steps down as Office Managing Partner to focus on U.S. trade remedy counseling and litigation within his international trade practice. Partner Donnelly McDowell will become chair of the Advertising and Marketing practice group.
“We are delighted to have Laura assume the role of Office Managing Partner,” said Dana Rosenfeld, Kelley Drye Managing Partner. “Having worked as in-house counsel, served in the government, and built a private practice, Laura brings a multi-faceted perspective to firm leadership that emphasizes legal excellence, client-service orientation, and teamwork.”
In total, Kelley Drye has eight offices across the United States, and is home to skilled practitioners in the areas of litigation, trade and customs, advertising and data privacy, communications, regulatory, government relations, labor and employment, real estate, corporate, bankruptcy, intellectual property, and more.
In 2023, for the tenth consecutive year, The Washington Post named Kelley Drye as a top workplace in the Washington, D.C. region. Selection on the list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey which measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
