The FCC’s New TCPA Rulings

Partner Lauri A. Mazzuchetti will present ​“The FCC’s New TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) Rulings” at the Practicing Law Institute (PLI) 21st Annual Consumer Financial Services Institute conference on May 13, 2016 in Chicago (previously presented at PLI Conference Center on April 4, 2016 in New York City). Ms. Mazzuchetti will discuss the new Federal Communications Commission rulings which address many of today’s regulatory challenges, including the definition of autodialer, prior express written consent for telemarketing calls, liability for robocalls to reassigned wireless numbers, revocation of prior express consent, and on-demand text messages. Additionally, she will provide an update on the status of active Telephone Consumer Protection Act petitions before the FCC.
