Kelley Drye is a nationally renowned law firm that has provided legal counsel carefully connected to our clients’ business strategies for more than 180 years. Kelley Drye is a firm of more than 350 lawyers and other professionals practicing in New York, New York; Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles, California; San Diego, California; Chicago, Illinois; Stamford, Connecticut; Parsippany, New Jersey; and Houston, Texas.

This Site is not intended for children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 18.

  • Among Kelley Drye Affiliates: We may share your data with affiliates of Kelley Drye, including Georgetown Economic Services, for business, operational, and marketing purposes. These affiliates are bound by this Policy.

If you are a California resident, you may exercise the following privacy rights:

  • Right to Delete: You have the right to delete personal information that we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. Note that there are some reasons we will not be able to fully address your request, such as if we need to complete a transaction for you, perform a contract, to detect and protect against fraudulent and illegal activity, to exercise our rights, for our internal purposes, or to comply with a legal obligation.

Right to Opt-Out of the Sale or Sharing of Personal Information: You have the right to opt-out of the sale” or sharing” of your personal information, as such terms are defined under California privacy law. This means that, if you opt-out, going forward, we will not sell or share your personal information with third parties for certain purposes, including cross-context behavioral advertising, unless you later direct us to do so. If you are a Virginia resident, you may take advantage of certain privacy rights pursuant to Virginia Code 59.1-577. For example, you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you have the right to appeal a denial of your privacy rights.

Virginia Notice on Targeted Advertising and Sales: We do not perform targeted advertising” or sales” as these terms are defined under Virginia privacy law.

How to Submit a Request

To take advantage of your right to know, delete, or correct under California or Virginia privacy law, or to submit an appeal of a denial of your privacy rights, please contact us by email at privacy@​kelleydrye.​com, by phone at (833) 810-0943, or by using the How to Contact Us” section below. We may request certain information to verify your identity before we can respond to your access, deletion, or correction requests. We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and will respond to your request within 45 calendar days, after proper verification, unless we need additional time, in which case we will let you know.

We will not discriminate against you because you exercised your rights under this section of the Privacy Policy.

Agent Requests

You may authorize someone to make a privacy rights request on your behalf (an authorized agent). Authorized agents will need to demonstrate that you’ve authorized them to act on your behalf. Kelley Drye retains the right to request confirmation directly from you confirming that the agent is authorized to make such a request, or to request additional information to confirm the agent’s identity. An authorized agent is prohibited from using a consumer’s personal information, or any information collected from or about the consumer, for any purpose other than to fulfill the consumer’s requests, for verification, or for fraud prevention.

In the last 12 months, we have disclosed the personal information described above under Data That We Collect” for a business purpose. We disclose such personal information to our affiliates and service providers for business, operational, technical support, and marketing purposes.

Categories of Personal Information Sold or Shared:

In the last 12 months, Kelley Drye has not sold” or shared” personal information to third parties, as these terms are defined under California privacy law. We do not knowingly sell or share personal data about persons under the age of 16.

Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information:

To the extent that we collect, use, or share sensitive personal information” as that term is defined under California privacy law, we limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information for essential business purposes.

Marketing Opt-Out Preferences

If you no longer wish to receive marketing communications from us, you may opt out of receiving them at any time by:

8. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND PLUGINS

The Sites may provide links to third-party websites for your convenience. Please be aware that this Policy applies only to websites and apps operated by Kelley Drye & Warren LLP. The inclusion of a link on the Site does not imply that we endorse the practices of the linked website. We recommend that you review the privacy and security policies of each website you visit before providing any personal data.

The Sites may also offer you the ability to interact with social plugins from social media networks, which may allow us and the social media network to receive data from or about you. In some cases, we may know that you clicked on a social plugin, such as a Twitter Follow” button, or receive other information from the social media network.
