Representative Experience:
Represents secured and unsecured creditors including creditors' committees, lenders, landlords, vendors, holders of public debt securities and trustees. He also has experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in avoidance actions and purchasers of distressed assets.
Significant chapter 11 representations include: (1) Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in Delta Air Lines ($2.2 billion+ in claims) and Delphi Corp. ($5 billion+ in claims); (2) Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada in Saint Vincents Catholic Medical Centers of New York ($70 million+ secured claim); (3) the unsecured creditors' committee of Verestar, Inc. ($100 million+ in assets and liabilities); and (4) Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas, as issuing agent, in Pacific Gas & Electric Company ($160 million+ in claims).
Other significant representations include:
(1) HSBC Bank, N.A., as indenture trustee, in Calpine Canada’s foreign insolvency proceeding ($2.5 billion+ in claims); and (2) the Receiver of certain assets formerly included in the Calpine Corp. chapter 11 bankruptcy estate ($250 million+ in assets). |
